Would it benefit the City of Hallowell and its residents to support organic gardening at the Reed Center? Who benefits? Would you be willing to become a member of the Hallowell Organic Gardeners Cooperative?
At least three acres of land behind the Reed Nature Center would be set aside for organic gardening. The organic gardens would be organized, planned, and monitored by the Hallowell Organic Gardeners Cooperative. The Reed Nature Center would provide the necessary equipment and tools to operate the gardens each year.
